Crm Integration

CRM integration is the technical link between a loyalty programme's member database and the organisation's customer relationship management system, so that loyalty activity, status, and offers flow into the same records that sales and service teams use.

A loyalty programme that is not integrated into the CRM is two separate businesses sharing one brand. The loyalty database knows accrual, active-member-rate, and activity-based-qualification, but the service desk does not, so every member conversation starts from a blank screen.

The standard test of integration is the share of member activity that lands in the CRM without manual work. A programme that captures 75 percent of points earned leaves 25 percent to be keyed in later. If a member earns 20,000 points in a year, that is 5,000 points the staff must find, verify, and attach to the right record.

Poor integration hits active-member-rate first because that rate depends on programmes recognising activity in time for it to matter. If an accrual posts days after the fact, the member's engagement has already cooled, and the service team never sees the reason why.

Activity-based-qualification fails when the sync is batch rather than event driven. A member who crosses a points threshold in the morning remains unqualified until the next overnight run, which is long enough to lose the booking that would have been earned.

The integration is complete only when the CRM shows the same accrual balance and the same activity history as the loyalty programme at the moment a staff member opens the record. Anything less is a series of snapshots, and snapshots do not run a loyalty programme.
