JOANN Rewards (JOANN Smiles)
What happened to JOANN rewards?
JOANN's rewards program, JOANN Smiles, ended with the company. In 2025 the winning bidders for JOANN's assets wound down operations and ran going-out-of-business sales at all stores, and personalized discounts were paused during the wind-down. Joann.com now redirects to Michaels, which says JOANN has closed down.

About this profile
JOANN's customer rewards program, called JOANN Smiles in its last form, was a free app-based program for shoppers at the US fabric and craft retailer. Members scanned a code at checkout and completed personalized missions to unlock rewards such as dollars off a purchase, along with birthday rewards and bonus discount days. The program ended when JOANN closed all its stores in 2025.
Profiles are built from the program's own published terms. Source links, quotations and checked dates are included with each topic.

What happened to JOANN rewards?
JOANN's rewards program, JOANN Smiles, ended with the company. Joann.com now redirects to Michaels, which says JOANN has closed down.
Can I still use JOANN rewards or gift cards?
No. JOANN said its stores would accept gift cards only through February 28, 2025, and the stores have since closed. No official JOANN or Michaels page says that JOANN rewards were transferred to another program.
How did JOANN Smiles work?
Members used the JOANN app or a barcode at checkout to track purchases toward personalized missions. Completing a mission unlocked a reward, such as an amount off a purchase, and members also received personalized coupons, bonus discount days and birthday rewards. Rewards had no cash value.
Did JOANN customers get Michaels Rewards?
Michaels invites former JOANN shoppers to join Michaels Rewards on its welcome page for JOANN customers, but Michaels Rewards is a separate program and no official page says JOANN rewards carried over.
